What is a
process tank used for?

A process tank is used for buffering, mixing, storage and controlled product transfer between subsequent stages of a production line. It can work with juices, purees, mousses, concentrates and other liquid or semi-liquid food products.


Depending on the application, the tank can be equipped with an agitator, heating or cooling jacket, insulation, level sensors, process connections and a pumping system. This makes it easy to adapt the tank to a specific process and the rest of the production installation.

PROCESS TANK IN A JUICE PRODUCTION LINE

The raw material first goes to the bin tipper, which enables safe and even feeding into the line. Then fruit or vegetables are washed and crushed in a washer with grinder. The prepared pulp goes to the belt press, and the obtained juice can then be directed to a buffer tank, pasteurizer and filling machine.

How much does a stainless steel tank cost?

The price of a tank depends on its capacity, design and equipment. The simplest buffer tanks start from approx. 700 EUR net, while large and more complex process tanks can cost up to approx. 35,000 EUR net. The price is influenced by capacity, agitator type, insulation, heating or cooling jacket, level indicator, pump, process connections and additional equipment.

What tank capacities do you produce?

We produce tanks of various capacities, tailored to a specific production line and product type. We manufacture both small buffer tanks and large process tanks with a capacity of up to approximately 10,000 liters. The capacity is selected individually depending on machine capacity, planned process and the amount of product that needs to be stored, mixed or fed further.

What types of tanks do you offer?

We produce buffer tanks, tanks with agitators, insulated tanks and double-jacketed tanks. Depending on the application, the tank can be used for temporary product storage, mixing, temperature holding, heating or cooling. Each tank can be adapted to a specific production process.

What is a buffer tank used for?

A buffer tank is used to temporarily store product between subsequent production stages. It can operate before a pasteurizer, filling machine, pump or another in-line device. This helps maintain process continuity, reduce downtime and ensure uniform product feeding for further processing.

When is it worth choosing a tank with an agitator?

It is worth choosing a tank with an agitator when the product requires mixing, homogenization or maintaining a constant consistency. The agitator is especially useful for products that may separate, contain fruit particles or require several ingredients to be combined. This solution is often used in the production of juices, purees, mousses, drinks, sauces and other food products.

What is the difference between an insulated tank and a double-jacketed tank?

An insulated tank reduces temperature losses and helps keep the product under specific conditions for longer. A double-jacketed tank also allows the product to be heated or cooled using a heating or cooling medium. The choice depends on whether the tank is only intended for storage or should also take part in the thermal processing stage.

Are the tanks made to order?

Yes, most tanks are made to order. We select the capacity, dimensions, construction type, agitator type, insulation, jacket, process connections, manhole, level indicator, pump and other equipment elements. This allows the tank to be adapted to an existing production line or designed as part of a new production process.

What is the lead time for a tank?

The lead time depends on the tank size, construction complexity and selected equipment. Simple tanks can be manufactured in about 1 week, while larger and more complex process tanks may require up to about 8 weeks. We provide the exact date after determining the capacity, configuration and current production load.

What is the warranty period for tanks?

We provide a 36-month warranty on the welded structure of the tank. For purchased components, such as motors, pumps, agitators, automation elements or other components, the warranty period is usually from 12 to 24 months, depending on the component manufacturer. After the warranty ends, we provide post-warranty service and access to spare parts.

Do you provide service for tanks?

Yes, we provide technical support, service and assistance with tank start-up. We also help in case of equipment-related issues. Depending on the situation, some matters can be resolved by phone, and if necessary, we organize on-site service.
